FIRST EDITION, very rare of one of the most important chronicles printed in Portugal, where, as in the Chronicle of D. Manuel, "reveals the gifts of the chronicler, documented in the narration, knowledgeable about the events of the time and using historical rigor in the study of facts ." [cf. Say. History of Portugal] There are two known variants for the copies of this first edition identified, among others, by Joaquim de Vasconcelos. According to the brief indication given by that author, this copy belongs to the variant existing in the Porto Municipal Library and differs from the copy in the National Library. VERY RARE AND VALUABLE.
