VIETNAM WAR PRESENTATION TRAY
Large brass tray decorated with traditional Thai zodiac animals around the rim and engraved in the center with crossed swords and a machine gun with the text, 'Ltc. W.C. Trefz Sr. Engr. Advisor 1965-1967'. The tray was presented to Lieutenant Colonel William C. Trefz, Senior Engineer Advisor in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Trefz served from May 1965 to 1967 in the United States Military Assistance Command Thailand (USMACTHAI). USMACTHAI was established in 1953 to support the Thai military, especially during the height of the Vietnam War. Trefz was awarded the Army Commendation Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster) and the Legion of Merit. 18 inches in diameter.
