Letter deposited in the post office without a stamp, given that it was indicated as being from the SNR (National Service of the Republic) as it was addressed to the Civil Governor of the District of Castelo Branco. As it was not considered an official service letter, it was not exempt from franking, so the post office applied (T) and sent it (17.8.1928) by rail in the Beira Baixa II mobile postal ambulance. The value of 80 cents in postage stamps was applied to the destination mail (double the missing rate). The steps taken by the postman for its delivery were handwritten: "The addressee has not left any notice. Candelas" - re:z on 19 August 1928. Candelas".
