During his motorcycling years, Nuvolari achieved 69 victories (36 overall and 33 class), winning both the European and Italian championships and setting three international speed records. On eight occasions, riding a Bianchi 350, with which he had so much success, he managed to beat all the other riders riding a 500 cc. Nuvolari was perfectly capable of changing a chain wheel of his motorbike faster than the other competitors: this ability led him to victory at the Padua circuit
