Gennaro Ivan Gattuso, known as Rino (Corigliano Calabro, 9 January 1978), is an Italian football coach and former footballer, a midfielder, coach of Hajduk Split. Nicknamed Ringhio[2] for the grit and aggression he showed on the pitch, he grew up as a footballer in Perugia, with whose colours he made his debut in Serie B in the 1995-1996 season and in Serie A the following year. After a season in Scotland, with Rangers, and one with Salernitana, from 1999 to 2012 he played for Milan, a team to which he tied most of his competitive career and with which he won an Italian Cup (2002-2003), two championships (2003-2004, 2010-2011), two Italian Super Cups (2004, 2011), two UEFA Champions Leagues (2002-2003, 2006-2007), two UEFA Super Cups (2003, 2007) and a FIFA Club World Cup (2007). He ended his career with the Swiss club Sion.

With the Italian national team, from 2000 to 2010, he participated in three World Cups (South Korea-Japan 2002, the victorious Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010), two European Championships (Portugal 2004 and Austria-Switzerland 2008) and a Confederations Cup (2009). As a coach, he won an Italian Cup (2019-2020) at the helm of Napoli.
