Romantic Antique Trunk By Henry Likly & Co. Rochester New York - Travel Wardrobe or Chest CA 1911
Sought after antique flat top steamer trunk, in original aged condition. It has signs of wear from ropes rubbing against it probably while on a wagon or ship for a long journey. The exterior is covered in a painted canvas that was initially put on to protect against water, this is held down by leather strips and riveted to the wooden body with brass corners for reinforcing. It still retains its authentic interior paper lining. The central latch was forced open at some time so it is unable to lock. This piece of furniture can be used for storage and as a table. Measurements 96cm L x 63cm B x 66cm H
