Original Vintage Toby Mug with Charles Dickens' Characters, Sairy Gamp & Sam Wellerc with a man locked in a pillory looking at a beer is cast into the base.

This vintage Toby Mug/Stein is a true collector's gem, featuring iconic characters from Charles Dickens' literary world, including  Sam Weller and Sairey Gamp. Sam was Mr. Pickwick's companion in The Pickwick Papers. Sairey was the drunk nurse in Martin Chuzzlewit. Beyond its charming character depictions, this mug boasts a unique surprise – a captivating cast image of a man locked in a pillory, gazing longingly at a pint of beer, intricately designed into its base. With its rich history and whimsical design, this Toby mug is a delightful conversation piece that encapsulates the spirit of Dickensian storytelling and Victorian-era tavern culture.

The mug is 12cm tall by 13cm wide from the handle and is in superior condition.
