AN ILYA SHENKER SIGNED LITHOGRAPH, BALLET SERIES, SWAN LAKE
Signed bottom right, numbered 18/150 A series of 8 silkscreen-lithographs that are signed and numbered by artist Ilya Shenker. The gift was donated by Sandra Genter to the Jerome Robbins Dance Division possibly in 2013. The lithograph depicts a scene from "The Swan Lake" of the swan queen Odette surrounded by a lake (or perhaps in the lake) and a castle front behind her. The "Swan Lake" was first performed in 1877, at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre.
Dimensions: 19 5/16 x 14 9/16 in., (49 x 37 cm.)
Condition: Excellent.
