AN EARLY SOVIET DRAWING MAQUETTE FOR THE KAVGOR MAGAZINE, 1924
Eduard Stashis (Soviet, 1890-1942), original drawing (maquette) for the cover of the magazine "Kavgor", paper, ink, watercolor, dating from the mid-1920s. The drawing depicts a man in a Caucasian national costume on a horse with a sword and a lantern, in the red rays of which one can see the slogan in Russian "Proletarians of all countries, unite!" Inscribed and dated on the back.
Dimensions: 13 x 10 in., (33 x 25.4 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
