A JAPANESE EROTIC SHUNGA PORCELAIN RICE BOWL, 19TH CEN.
Japanese glazed porcelain bowl of a tapering form, the exterior is painted with red and blue bands, and the interior features a hand-painted shunga (erotic) scene of a partially-nude couple in ornately decorated robes. Incised hieroglyphic mark on the bottom.Circa 1890.
Dimensions: D:4 3/8 in., (11 cm.)
Condition: Very good, no visible signs of restoration.
