A RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY CUP AND SAUCER C. 1800
Rare Russian porcelain tea cup and saucer produced by Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, reign of Emperor Paul I (1796-1801). Both are decorated with hand-painted Napoleonic Wars military regimental scenes within square cartouches, flanked by gilded Russian Imperial eagles, rims are outlined with gilded foliate border.
