Russian Orthodox icon of Christ Pantocrator, Moscow, dated 1833. Tempera on wood with silver oklad featuring hand-chased and cloisonne enamel details. Jesus is depicted holding an orb in his left and a scepter as symbols of supreme power while his right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing.Hallmarks: "FER" (Cyrillics), 84, "ND" (Cyrillic), 1833, kokoshnik.
Dimensions: 10 1/2 x 11 1/2 in., (27 x 31 cm.)
