RUSSIAN ORTHODOX ICON OF CHRIST PANTOCRATOR IN SILVER OKLAD
Russian Orthodox icon of Christ Pantocrator, the Lord Almighty, or Savior Jesus Christ hand-painted in egg tempera and gold leaf on wood panel, cased in a chased and repousse silver oklad. The vestments of Christ are elaborately made of filigree. Features repousse floral ornaments and figures of Saints in borders.19th century.
Dimensions: 13 3/4 x 11 in., (35 x 28 cm.)
Condition: The icon is in superb condition. There are no signs of restoration. The silver oklad is in its original condition, it has not been restored or altered.
