Fritz Ascher (1893-1970), German Expressionist, studied first with Max Liebermann, then at the Königsberg Academy before returning to Berlin in 1912. In 1933 Ascher was banned from working and was finally imprisoned. Blossoming garden with sunflowers, oil on cardboard, unsigned (purchased directly from the artist), 57 x 49 cm, framed 68 x 59 cm
