INDO PERSIAN WARRIOR SET SHIELD & HELMET HAND GUARDS DENSE FLOWERING VINE BANDS RARE I ARABIC CALLIGRAPHY ENGRAVED. Province: Indo Persian. Make : Made of Hand forged steel , hand hammered and hand chiseled. Dating: Unknown. Nasal guard : The nasal guard is sliding and adjustable and has hand engraved God ALLAH name. Surface : Decorated with finely carved spiraling segments of meandering dense flowering. The set bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its entire surface with floral& creeper design. Arabic Calligraphy: Hand engraved Arabic calligraphy to invoke God's power and blessing to win battle. The reverse of set have cloth cushion and shield has 2 handles to hold. Shield measure 19 inches in diameter. Four domed bosses chiseled with flower motifs connecting hooks at back. This set Reverse of set has thick cloth cushion & 2 cotton handles to hold shield.This makes this shield adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor.Since this unique shield is hand made, there is no exact copy of this.An interesting shield showing the influence of other culture circa Qajar period 18th.-19th.century .
