FERRARI ENZO: (1898-1988) Italian Motor Racing Driver & Manufacturer, founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racing team. Rare T.L.S., Ferrari, one page, 4to, Modena, 14th December 1936, to Tazio Nuvolari, on the printed stationery of Ferrari, in Italian. The letter bears to the upper left corner the attractive colourful Ferrari letter-heading “Scuderia Ferrari Modena-Italia”. Signed in bold purple ink at the base of the letter. Enzo Ferrari refers to the recent meeting held with his correspondent in Modena, and to the collaboration agreement with representatives of the Alfa Romeo racing team for the years 1935, 1936 & 1937. Further requesting Nuvolari´s acknowledgement of a payment. A letter of good content. Very small overall minor age wear, VG
Tazio Nuvolari (1892-1953) Italian racing Driver. Knicknamed “Nivola”, also known as “Il Mantovano Volante” (“The Flying Mantuan”). Winner of 24 Grand Prix and a Le Mans 24-hour race, among many others. Ferdinand Porsche called him “The greatest driver of the past, the present and the future”. Nuvolari drove for Enzo Ferrari´s team, Scuderia Ferrari. The relationship with Ferrari deteriorated in 1937, very shortly after the present letter was signed.
