DIRAC PAUL: (1902-1984) English theoretical Physicist. Widely regarded as one of the most important physicists of the 20th century. Nobel Prize in Physics 1933. He formulated the Dirac equation. Among Dirac´s works, his contributions to quantum mechanics and electrodynamics, and also the new forms of atomic theory and general relativity. An unusual character described by Einstein as `This balancing on the dizzying path between genius and madness is awful´. Very rare signed 4 x 5.5 card `P.a.m. Dirac´, beneath a 2 x 3 photograph of Dirac in a head and shoulders pose, neatly affixed, with his full printed name Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac. Matted in black, beneath a 7 x 5 photograph showing Dirac standing before a blackboard with mathematics formulas, to an overall size of 8 x 12. Accompanied by an unsigned 5 x 7 photograph of a young Dirac in a head and shoulders pose. VG
