GARNIER CHARLES: (1825-1898) French Architect. Best known for his works as Architect of the Parisian ''Palais Garnier'' also known as ''Opera Garnier'', and for the ''Opera de Monte-Carlo''. A good A.L.S., H. Garnier, one page, 8vo, Paris, n.d., to Mr. Bouvalot?, in French. The letter bears the letter-heading of the ''Opera works - Architect bureau - Ministry of the Arts''. Garnier tries to fix an appointment with his correspondent, stating in part `Will you be available next Thursday 21st for our institute dinner..´, further explaining the Hotel meeting point, and explaining that he will later go to the institute as he needs some help. With blank integral leaf. Paper with ''Lacroix Freres'' watermark. Folded. VG
