HIMMLER HEINRICH: (1900-1945) Nazi German Politician, Reichsfuhrer of the Schutzstaffel (SS) 1929-45. T.L.S., H. Himmler, one page, 4to, Berlin, 28th October 1938, to Gauleiter [Joseph] Burckel, on the red bordered printed memorandum stationery of the Reichsfuhrer-SS and Chief of the German Police in the Ministry of the Interior, in German. Himmler writes to remind his correspondent that 'you are the Chief of the Ordnungspolizei General d. Pol. Daluege as already stated in the letter

..in an oral discussion which took place before the purchase of the Hotel Tyrol in Kitzbuhel by the Reich' and that Burckel had given his consent to the purchase and stated 'that a possible indemnity compensation of the previous owner, SA-Obersturmfuhrer Siegfried Mayr, was a matter for the state, as in many other cases'. Himmler concludes by stating that he will therefore 'continue to carry out the necessary structural and other changes to the Hotel Tyrol in Kitzbuhel for the further training of the police'. With several official rubber stamps, dated 7th November and 15th December 1938, a few short pencil annotations and two file holes to the left edge, not affecting the text or signature.
