YSAYE EUGENE: (1858-1931) Belgian Violinist. Known as The King of the Violin. A.M.Q.S. with statement, E. Ysaÿe, one page, oblong 8vo, n.p., 1901. Ysaye has neatly penned a five bars musical quotation, which he identifies as `Children prayer´, and marked the tempo as `Poco Lento´. Beneath the musical quote Ysaye writes a statement `The Protection of children can attain heroism - and even the crime!..´ Signed in bold black ink beneath the statement, and dated in his hand. With integral blank leaf. Extremely small overall age wear, otherwise VG £150-200
