People ask, why did he stay, did he want to make an atom bomb for Hitler, did he know how to do it?´, further saying `..Heisenberg´s experience shows, sadly, that life is all too often the choice between two evils, in his care to abandon the country he loved or to collaborate, to some extent, with evil.´ The seventh page of the manuscript being a kind of brief autobiography by Mott, stating `I met Heisenberg first in 1928 in Niels Bohr´s Institute.´ Together with A.L.S., Nevill Mott, one page, Cambridge, 12th December 1986, on his printed stationery, University of Cambridge, department of Physics, being a brief text referring to the manuscript he is transmitting.
