Tunney states that he remembers his correspondent calling at his office several times and continues to add that he shall be happy to recommend him to an employer but doesn't know of any vacancies at present, remarking 'If it is a matter of personal recommendation, I will be very happy to do whatever you wish me to
I will be very glad to keep you in mind, and if I happen to hear of anything I shall get in touch with you'. Tunney further reflects 'This depression has been a dreadful thing and I am in sympathy with those who have been caught in its throes.
