STANLEY WENDELL M.: (1904-1971) American Biochemist, Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry, 1946. T.L.S., W M Stanley, one page, 4to, Berkeley, California, 29th July 1968, to Dr. Eva Pertile, on the printed stationery of the Virus Laboratory at the University of California. Stanley informs his correspondent that 'all of the Nobel lectures in chemistry have recently been published in a single volume by the Elsevier Publishing Company', continuing to provide their address in Amsterdam and further remarking 'Should your pupil be interested only in the work on viruses, there is a paperback edition of ''Viruses and the Nature of Life'' by Stanley and Valens which is available in English and in several foreign languages'. In a holograph postscript Stanley provides the address of the Italian publishers of his work. About EX
