RIBBENTROP ANNELIESE VON: (1896-1973) German wife of Joachim von Ribbentrop (1893-1946) Nazi Foreign Minister of the Reich 1938-45, formerly German Ambassador to the United Kingdom 1936-38. A.L.S., Anneliese Ribbentrop, on both sides of her personal printed oblong 12mo visiting card, n.p. (Berlin), 7th February 1938, to Trude Burckner, in German. The text is untranslated although is most likely a polite note of thanks. Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Ribbentrop. About EX
Trude Burckner-Mohr (1902-1989) German leader of the Bund Deutscher Madel (League of German Girls), the girls' wing of the Nazi Party youth movement, the Hitler Youth. It was the only legal female youth organisation in Nazi Germany. Anneliese von Ribbentrop's letter is dated just three days after her husband had been appointed Reichsminister of Foreign Affairs.
