Scarce blue ink signature ('Love, Bob Marley') on an oblong 12mo page removed from an autograph album. Annotated and dated, 21st June 1978, in ink in the hand of a collector. Some light overall age wear and minor staining, otherwise about VGProvenance: The present signature was obtained in person by the vendor when, as a teenager, she attended a performance of Top of the Pops at Shepherds Bush studio. Recorded on 21st June 1978, the show was broadcast on the BBC the following day and Bob Marley and the Wailers performed their song Satisfy My Soul, one of their most well-known tracks from the album Kaya (1978).The Jamaican singer and songwriter Bob Marley achieved international fame and acclaim by blending reggae, ska and rocksteady in his compositions, starting out in 1963 with his group The Wailers. One of the world's best-selling artists of all time, Marley was a committed Rastafari and is considered one of the most influential musicians of all time, credited with popularising reggae music around the world, as well as serving as a symbol of Jamaican culture and identity. Marley has also evolved into a global symbol, which has been endlessly merchandised through a variety of mediums.
