Signed ('Dali') by Dali in blue ink with his surname only to a clear area of the background. A couple of very light, extremely minor surface creases, otherwise VG Philippe Halsman (1906-1979) American portrait photographer. The present image of Dali was captured by Halsman in 1964 and appears on the front cover of the dustjacket to the American first edition of Dali's Diary of a Genius (1965).
