BOLDT GERHARD: (1918-1981) German Army officer of World War0 II, Knight's Cross winner. Boldt claimed to have been present in the Fuhrerbunker during Adolf Hitler's final days and is regarded as a contemporary witness to the last few days in the Reich Chancellery. Blue ink signature ('G. Boldt') in the form of an endorsement to the verso of an American cheque issued and signed by William R. McClure and made out to Boldt for the sum of $8, dated 16th June 1970.
