SPEIDEL HANS: (1897-1984) German General of World War II, Knight's Cross winner. Chief of Staff to Erwin Rommel. Speidel participated in the 20 July Plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, and was the only major individual associated with the event to survive the war. Vintage signed 3.5 x 4.5 photograph of Speidel in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform. Signed to the image, adding his rank and the date, 23rd April 1963, in his hand beneath his signature.
