Vintage signed and inscribed Christmas greetings card, the oblong 8vo folding card featuring a colour illustration to the cover depicting a group of people surrounding a horse drawn carriage in a frosty landscape and with several buildings in the background, signed in bold dark fountain pen ink to the inside, above and below a printed greeting in English, 'Miss. Rita Moody….Farouk, Prince of Said', and dated 1935 in his hand. Accompanied by the original envelope addressed to Moody in Hounslow, Middlesex. Some extremely light, minor age wear, VG In October 1935, Farouk left Egypt to settle at Kenry House in Surrey to attend the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich as an extramural student. Twice a week he was driven to the Academy in a Rolls-Royce to attend classes, but ultimately failed the entrance exam. Rather than studying, Raouk preferred to spend his time in London where he went shopping, attended football matches with the Prince of Wales, and visited restaurants and brothels.
