Clinton thanks his correspondent for their kind note following the State of the Union and remarks 'Of course, you're right: the estimated number of women and children who stay on welfare to collect health benefits is one million total, not one million people as I said in my remarks. As you know, this is a very difficult number to measure, but I believe the estimate you suggested is one we can defend'. Clinton concludes by adding that he enjoyed a meeting with Moynihan the previous week and looks forward to further discussions in the future.
