BONAPARTE MARIE: (1882-1962) Princess Marie Bonaparte, also known as Princess George of Greece and Denmark because of her marriage to Prince George of Greece and Denmark. Great-grandniece of Napoleon I. French Author and psychoanalyst. Marie Bonaparte was closely linked to Sigmund Freud, she contributed with her great fortune to the popularity of psychoanalysis and helped Freud to escape from Nazi Germany. Very unusual and attractive multiple signed menu, one page, 8vo, Verdun, 5th July 1919, in French. Signed by Marie Bonaparte `Marie, P[rince]sse de Grece, née Bonaparte´, and signed alongside by his children Prince Peter (1908-1980), `Pierre de Grece´, and Princess Eugénie (1910-1989) `Eugénie´. The menu is also signed by General Paul Pau (1848-1932), Commandant Sarot of the citadel of Verdun, General Valantin, and few more. The partially printed menu lists the dishes of the menu `Potage Parisien- Gigot Prés Salé - Petits Pois a la Paysanne - Salade - St Honoré - Fraises - Café´. The menu has been cleanly affixed to a folio card. VG
