LOPEZ DONALD: (1923-2008) American Lieutenant Colonel, a fighter pilot with the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, and later a test pilot. Signed 9.5 x 7 photograph of Lopez in a half-length pose seated in the cockpit of his P-51 Mustang aircraft in Chiahkiang, China, on 11th November 1944, having flown his hundredth mission. Signed in black ink with his name alone to a light area at the head of the image. Together with a signed and inscribed 6.5 x 9.5 photograph of Lopez standing in a full-length pose at the side of his P-40 fighter aircraft in China, December 1943. Signed in black ink to the image, also adding the place and date of where and when the photograph was originally taken in his hand. VG to EX, 2
