BAUR HANS: (1897-1993) German aviator and SS-Gruppenfuhrer who served as Adolf Hitler's personal pilot and leader of the Reichsregierung squadron during World War II. Signed 4 x 6 photograph of Baur standing in a three-quarter length pose, in uniform, shaking the hand of Adolf Hitler in 1938. Signed by Baur in bold blue ink with his name alone to the lower border and additionally signed and inscribed in black ink to the verso, also adding the date, March 1985, in his hand. Together with an A.L.S., Hans Baur, on one side of a correspondence card, Ammersee, n.d., in German (untranslated). Also including a printed T.L.S., with a facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler, one page, oblong 8vo, Berlin, Christmas 1942, to an unidentified correspondent, on the gold printed stationery of Hitler, in German. Hitler asks the recipient to accept a package as a small gift, explaining 'It come from broadcasts that were made available to me from abroad or from the occupied territories'.
