CONVENTION DEPUTIES: D.S., by three deputies of the Convention, comprising Jean-Baptiste Clauzel (1746-1803), Gabriel Bouquier (1739-1810) Bouquier voted in favour of King Louis XVI sentence to death and Simon Edme Monnel (1747-1822), two pages, folio, Paris, 25th December 1793, the partially printed document being the minute of a proposal by the war Minister related to an unusual matter, the murder of Jean Charles Manteau, Gendarme, stating `..as a result of the poison found in the food he was given by the enemy in the convent, during the Treves expedition in December 1792..´, further approving a pension for the widow. Bearing the eye printed heading and a convention paper seal affixed to the front page, and a red wax seal in very fine condition to the verso. G £200-300
