MOLLEVAUT ETIENNE: (1744-1816): HUBERT JEAN-MICHEL (1744-1827) and PEYRE LOUIS FRANÇOIS (1760-1828), all of them French members of the National Convention. D.S., by the three Convention deputies, two pages, folio, 19th May 1795, on the National Convention printed stationery, in French. The minute lists the name of the seven soldiers authorized to visit their families before returning their regiments, stating `..defenders of Freedom, retained as prisoners in Gibraltar from where they escaped on an English vessel they captured..´ The Convention makes a proposal suggesting to grant them as a National recognition `the value of the vessel taken from the English´ With the printed monogramme of the Republican eye, and a Convention paper seal affixed to the verso. Together with a copy of the Convention decree reporting about the French Republicans escaped from Gibraltar prisons and to the proposal to approve in order to compensate their achievement granting them the captured vessel value.
