CLAIR RENE : (1898-1981) French Film Director. A.L.S., René, one page, 8vo, Neuilly sur Seine, 18th October 1977, to Rosamond Bernier Russell, on his personal printed stationery, in French. Clair states in part ´I am really sorry but I cannot authorize what you request regarding ENTR´ACTE. I am not the only one owning the rights of this film. We agreed that no one would be allowed to use extracts of Entr´acte..´ Together with Marcel Achard (1899-1974) French Playwright and Screenwriter. A very popular Author for his comedies in France. T.L.S., Marcel, one page, small 4to, Paris, 23rd April 1959, to Youra, in French. Achard states in part `You think I have a power which I have not ! If you want to attend the Cannes Festival you must address to the most powerful General Secretary, Monsieur Favre-Lebret...´ About EX, & G £100-150 Youra Guller ( 1895-1980) French Classical Pianist.
