MONDOR HENRI: (1885-1962) French physician, Surgeon, and a Historian of French Literature and Medicine. Best known for his studies of rectal cancer and urgent diagnosis, and for the Mondor´s disease, a thrombophlebitis named after him. A.L.S., H.Mondor, one page, attractive paper, 4to, n.p., 13th July 1959, in French. Mondor states `The memory can be maintained as any other body member: what is important is to choose well your dumbbells. As Alais and Valery did for two years. Mallarmé, for thirty years, weather with prose or with verses, has recited piously.´ Accompanied by an entrance card to the French Academy on the occasion of Mondor´s appointment as academician, dated 30th October 1947.
