GRIMOD DE LA REYNIÈRE ALEXANDRE-BALTHAZAR: (1758-1837) French Lawyer and Writer who acquired fame for his public gastronomic lifestyle. An interesting and lengthy A.L.S., A. Grimot de la Reynière, four pages, 8vo, small writing, Paris, 3rd September 1797, to an unidentified lady, in French. Grimot sends a sixth letter not having got any response to the previous ones, and states in part `I dare expecting a response in your sweet hand⦠Each time I get lost into my lonelyness I only find testimonies of your oversight.. Do not make such mistake, we, the writers, are not like the rest of men. When we love someone, even if it is only friendshipness, it is not blood what circulates in our veins, but vitriol flooding..´ Grimod de la Reynière describe poetically his feelings and begs a response from his correspondent.
