OTHON-FRIESZ EMILE : (1879-1949) French Post-Impressionist, and a Fauvist movement member. A good A.L.S., E.Othon Friesz, two pages, oblong 4to, Paris, 19th February 1921, in French. Othon-Friesz refers to the Salon d´Automne exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris and mentions great masters such as Matisse, Derain, Picasso, Vlaminck and Dufy, stating in part `It is a bit unpleasant to find out that French painters are always badly represented, with paintings more or less old-fashioned..What do you think ?´ A letter of interesting content.
