DUBUFFET JEAN : (1901-1985) French Painter and Sculptor. Best known for founding the Art Brut movement. T.L.S., `Jean Dubuffet´, one page, 4to, folio, Paris, 22nd June 1976, on his personal printed stationery, to Ben Braude, in French. Dubuffet thanks his correspondent for his letter and states `I am precisely also 75 years old, and I suffer permanent pain on my spinal column, which is incommoding me but not precluding me from working assiduously on my paintings..´ further saying `These works will be included in the January exhibition in New York at the Pace Gallery..´ furthermore adding `I have spent several journeys in New York, a city which I very much love and which I find wonderful.´ Folded.
