ROLLAND ROMAIN: (1866-1944) French Dramatist & Novelist, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1915. Two A.Ls.S., Romain Rolland, one and two pages, the last written to first and third page, 8vo, n.p., the second dated 10th December 1917, in French. On the first Rolland suggests an appointment to his correspondent, and on the second Rolland refers to the musical performance passes he has received, stating in part `..Thank you very much for the two seats tickets you have been so kind to send to me..I hope I will be able to attend together with my sister your performance and listen to you tomorrow if the weather permits me so as I have the flu. Take care of yourself after the concert and I wish you a great success.´ G, 2 £80-100
