QUENEAU RAYMOND: (1903-1976) French Novelist, Poet and Critic. Well-known for his cynical humour. Scarce A.L.S., Queneau, one page, 5 x 6, n.p., n.d., being a funny seven verses poem, stating `At the time the idiots sleep, the Capitole geese, like dragonflies, fly far from the vestales - meanwhile the Gallic do not miss one..´ Queneau has inscribed it to Gaston Criel (1913-1990) a French writer and poet. The present seven verses are included in L´Instant Fatal (1948). VG £250-350
