DIX OTTO: (1891-1969) German painter and printmaker. A.L.S., Dix, to one side of an oblong 12mo page removed from a restaurant ordering pad (the verso, bearing the name of the recipient in Dix's hand, featuring a printed image advertising the French vermouth Noilly Prat), n.p., n.d., to Lilli Schultz, in German. The artist writes, in full, 'We came home very late and had to have breakfast at 8 am because we were picked up at half past 8 for the trip to the Odenwald. We were back at 11 am and our train left at 11.45 am'. Very slightly irregularly torn to one edge, not affecting the text or signature, otherwise VG
