WILDING DOROTHY: (1893-1976) English photographer, noted for her portraits of the British royal family. T.L.S., Dorothy Wilding, (in bold pencil), one page, 4to, Grosvenor Square, London, 18th May 1960, to Ann Robinson, on Wilding's attractive printed stationery. Wilding apologises for the delay in replying to her correspondent's letter, owing to having received many applications, and continues 'Don't worry about not having had any previous training; that is what you pay for in our fees, which are not quite settled yet, but may be 150 gns. a term. If you would like to take up this training, please let me know as soon as possible so that we can arrange an interview convenient to both'. Letters signed by Wilding are surprisingly scarce.
