GARBO GRETA: (1905-1990) Swedish Actress, Academy Award winner. A Hollywood icon. A.L.S., `Greta«, one page, New York, 30th August 1925, to a postcard photograph, to Mimmie Pollak, in Swedish. Garbo sends a postcard to her close correspondent and close friend Pollak, and states in full `Travelling today, Aug. 30th, to California. I«ll write to you during the trip. Don«t forget me. I believe in your success - darling!« The postcard shows to the front a colourful drawing showing the Hotel Commodore in New York, Grand Central Terminal. Post-stamped. VG £1500-2000 Mimi Pollak (1903-1999) Maria Helena Pollak. Swedish Actress and theatre Director. Pollak attended the Royal Dramatic Theatre school in Stockholm with her fellow actress Greta Garbo from 1922 to 1924.
