GIONO JEAN: (1895-1970) French Author. Rare signed and inscribed 9.5 x 12 photograph by Giono, the image depicting the French writer seated before his working desk-table, in a profile half length pose. Signed in bold black ink `a Lucien Miallet, avec mon amiti, Jean Giono«, to a clear area at the base of the image. Also dated 1963 in his hand. Signed photos of Jean Giono are rare and desirable. VG £200-300 Lucien Miallet was a close collaborator of Giono, working on the Pleiade romans complete works edition.
