SUPERVIELLE JULES: (1884-1960) Uruguayan Poet and Writer. Three times nominated for the Nobel prize in Literature. A good and lengthy autograph poem signed `Jules Supervielle«, two pages, on to separate sheets, 4to, which he entitles `Song for Laurence Paseyre, my grand-daughter who has visited me for Christmas in her cradle«. A good and lengthy sixty verses poem by Supervielle, in French. The poem states `Bien qu«elle n«en eut point - Elle jouait des ailes - Et sans bouger un doigt - Elle faisait du zele - Il suffit d«etre belle - Et d«avoir quatre mois - Et d«avoir des yeaux noirs - Comme les hirondelles - Qui traversent le ciel - Sans meme le savoir..« With an attractive horse watermark.
