COLLIN JEAN CHRISTOPHE: (1757-1806) Also known as Verdiere. French General killed as a result of the wounds received during the Iena battle. D.S., Verdiere, one page, folio, Paris, 21st November 1797, in French. The partially printed document, signed by Verdiere in his capacity as General Commandant of the city of Paris, states in part `..he remained at his post during the memorable day of 18th Fructidor, and also participated in the arrest of the insurrectors..« Folded. Very small minor age to the edges, otherwise VG £80-100
