DECORATION OF THE LILY: The ''Dcoration du Lys'' was created under the Bourbon restoration. A large and very attractive D.S., one page, 20 x 12, vellum, Paris, 2nd October 1816, to officer Claude Pannessot, in French. Signed by CHARLES X (1757-1836) Last King of France 1824-30, and by OUDINOT NICOLAS (1767-1847) Marshal of France. Duc de Reggio. Stamp signatures. Also signed by Auguste de Choiseul (1752-1817) Scholar, French Minister, and Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire. Signed `Count Auguste de Choiseul«, in his hand, as Commandant of the National Guards. A very attractive partially printed title, richly decorated to the borders with coats of arms and other military images, giving the decoration of the Lily to Claude Pannessot in the name of the Count of Artois, King of France.
