WILHELM I: (1797-1888) German Emperor 1871-88 & King of Prussia 1861-88. L.S., Wilhelm, one page, 4to, Berlin, 9th February 1867, in German. The King aproves the resignation of the city and district court Council of Danzig Friedrich Ludwig Thiele from his service, and further states `You will receive the certificate of discharge confirmed by me. And simultaneously to his resignation I award Thiele with the red fourth class Eagle medal...« Countersigned by Lippe. Two small tears to the edges and left edge slightly irregularly trimmed, not affecting the signature. G £100-150 Count Leopold von Lippe, Prussian Justice Minister.
